MLK PROJECT
The MLK Project targets 57 missing segments in 34 census tracts, ensuring access to and connectivity between all 9 Birmingham city council districts through street enhancements, sidewalks, bike lanes, two-way cycle tracks, and improved signage. The proposed Missing LinKs (MLK) Project will unify disconnected urban villages to the city center, creating Birmingham's first seamless active transportation network.
